Heated Rivalry (Original Series Soundtrack)
Peter Peter's score for the Canadian series Heated Rivalry, issued as the 'Stupid Canadian Wolf Bird' variant on double colored vinyl — a one-time, very limited pressing.
Initial D Theme Song Collection Vol.1 (頭文字D主題曲合輯 Vol.1)
Marking 30 years since Initial D began serialization, avex Infinity issues the anime's theme songs on vinyl for the first time — long awaited by fans worldwide. Vol.1 returns to stock in December, with only a few copies left now.
Initial D Theme Song Collection Vol.2 (頭文字D主題曲合輯 Vol.2)
The second volume of avex Infinity's 30th-anniversary Initial D theme song collection, restocking in December alongside Vol.1 — best collected as a pair.
さめたら
Keyboardist Naruki Numazawa — known for backing mei ehara, Mamiko Suzuki and Omoide Yaro A Team, and a member of SAMOEDO — takes a rare turn on vocals. His tender, faintly melancholic voice floats over Neo-Soul and Indie R&B, layering memories of hometown Yamagata over everyday Tokyo life. The B-side remix by TOSHIKI HAYASHI (%C) carries on Nujabes-style jazz hip-hop.
だよ / 愛の星屑を
Fresh off their tenth anniversary and a sold-out first Budokan show, never young beach release a 7-inch: 'Dayo,' now a crowd-singalong staple, and the kayōkyoku-tinged 'Ai no Hoshikuzu wo.' Both songs ask how to keep loving after losing someone dear. Fully limited pressing.
Ulterior Motives
A limited CD once sold only at Dirty Three's 2012 shows, now pressed on red and green 2LP for the first time. It gathers early rehearsal-room demos — raw versions of 'Indian Love Song' and 'Everything Is Fucked' from before the debut — plus a JJJ radio take of 'Better Go Home Now' and 'Deep Waters,' an early sketch of the Ocean Songs era.
Back To Black (20th Anniversary Zoetrope Edition)
Back To Black's 20th-anniversary series adds its first Zoetrope picture disc: a sequence of Amy images printed on the vinyl appears to animate as it spins. Housed in a die-cut sleeve, this edition sticks to the original album — the draw is the design.
Providing the Atmosphere (30th Anniversary Edition)
Swedish indie-pop band Cloudberry Jam helped drive the '90s Swedish Pop wave with sweet melodies, breezy guitars and jazzy arrangements. Their 1996 album Providing the Atmosphere sold over 100,000 copies in Japan. A fully remastered 30th-anniversary edition arrives for Japan's Record Day 2026.
T'som
LA producer and multi-instrumentalist Dexter Story's sixth album, on Soundway, features Kamasi Washington, Carlos Niño and Sudan Archives, weaving Horn of Africa rhythms with Middle Eastern music into spiritual jazz. 'T'som' means 'fasting' in Tigrinya, Amharic and Arabic — a meditation on devotion, reflection and letting go.
Tokyo 1980s Victor Edition (The Vinyl Collection)
DJ NOTOYA's 2018 selection of Victor-label disco, boogie and modern soul from the 1980s, with Atsuko Futana, Iyo Matsumoto and the grail-level 7-inch 'Sunset Road' by Reiko Takahashi. After selling out earlier this year it returns on clear vinyl, with cover art by Hiroshi Nagai.
Tokyo 1980s Victor Edition Vol.2 (The Vinyl Collection)
The sequel moves through Japanese boogie, AOR and fusion: 'YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE' by Fujimal Yoshino's pre-SHOGUN ONE LINE BAND, the breezy 'ADIOS' by Sadistics, eight tracks in all, on vinyl for the first time. Cover art again by Hiroshi Nagai.
The World of Hans Zimmer: Best Of (Colour Etched Vinyl)
A limited 2LP Hans Zimmer best-of with suites from The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King, Gladiator, Interstellar and Inception. The B-sides swap audio for color laser etchings — clockwork on one, a cosmic vista on the other — that throw rainbow light as they turn.
Afro-Harping (Limited Edition)
Jazz-harp pioneer Dorothy Ashby's classic Afro-Harping in a deluxe Verve 2LP on clear vinyl — 'Soul Vibrations' and 'Little Sunflower' plus previously unreleased material and eight pages of liner notes.
Endless Body
Eiafuawn, the solo project of Duster's Clay Parton, returns with its first new recordings in 20 years. Four songs in about 17 minutes of hazy, lo-fi drift and solitude — music that sounds made alone in a room late at night. Released by Numero Group, single-sided with an etched B-side.
Brazil 45 Boxset Vol.6
Badbadnotgood, long steeped in Brazilian rhythm, curate a trip through Brazilian music from the '60s to now — MPB, jazz, bossa nova, folk and psych from O Terno, Dora Morelenbaum, Ana Mazzotti, Antonio Adolfo and more — across a five-7-inch box.
Concert in Japan
In July 1966, a year before his death, John Coltrane made his only visit to Japan, deep in his wildest, freest period. Japanese Verve's complete 5SHM-CD set, marking his centenary, captures both Tokyo concerts by the quintet with Pharoah Sanders, Alice Coltrane, Jimmy Garrison and Rashied Ali, plus a bonus disc of press conference and student interviews.
Originally scored for Léonard Pongo's 2024 experimental documentary short Tales from the Source, which treats Congo's rivers and forests as beings with memory and wisdom. Built from field recordings of water and riverbeds, then twisted through synths, tape loops and electronics into dark, slow-moving electroacoustic music — now on vinyl for the first time via Discrepant, resequenced as one continuous listen.
