Love Songs

via Tokyo Buy Buy Diary View post →

Osaka's Daisuke Honda recorded Love Songs at 20 in a makeshift studio inside a friend's family textile factory; just 200 copies were pressed in 1977. Soulful, faintly melancholy folk, rock and blues in the line of Neil Young, Dylan and Heron, with traces of Japanese folk like Masato Tomobe and Kenji Endo. Now one of the rarest 70s Japanese private presses, it gets its first vinyl reissue on California's First & Last Records — 250 copies, restored by Grammy-winning engineer Michael Graves.
