vivid
The first full-length from Fukuoka singer-songwriter kiki vivi lily, built with a stacked cast of Keiichi Tomita, Sweet William, WONK and Kohei Ando (MELRAW). Her sweet, airy voice rides grooves rooted in Black music, drifting between soul, R&B, jazz and hip-hop — Sweet William's remix of 'AM0:52' is the polished standout, 'Caffeine Addiction' the instant hook. Reissued for her tenth anniversary on clear orange vinyl via Kissing Fish Records.
PINK
Raised on Tatsuro Yamashita and Minako Yoshida, Toki Asako argues that what's worth inheriting from city pop isn't a fixed palette of sounds but the impulse to keep chasing the pop music of now. PINK takes city pop as its theme without copying the past, with Yoh Tomi producing and G.RINA writing two songs across ten tracks about daily life, love, loneliness and the glittering moments of the city. The tenth-anniversary edition returns on pink vinyl, each copy individually numbered.
His 'N' Hers
Before Different Class, 1994's His 'N' Hers was the record that pushed Pulp into the public eye, and an essential piece of nineties British guitar music. It holds 'Lipgloss', 'Babies' and 'Do You Remember the First Time?', threading glam rock, post-punk and synth-pop together while Jarvis Cocker's English wit, desire and everyday observation sharpen into the definitive Pulp voice. The 25th-anniversary edition was overseen by Steve Mackey and remastered at Abbey Road, pressed as a 180g gatefold 2LP.
Different Class
One of the defining British rock albums of the nineties. Remastered last year for its thirtieth anniversary and originally tucked inside a deluxe box, this 2LP remaster finally gets a standalone release for the UK's National Album Day. The band chose ultra clear vinyl for the pressing, housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inners that carry over the anniversary set's design.
The Art of Loving
Olivia Dean's much-watched second studio album keeps her warm, finely detailed voice at the centre, settling into a mature and easy register between soul, R&B and pop. The anniversary edition comes on metallic silver vinyl, cut half-speed and pressed at 180g.
Le Bonheur
One of the key records Brigitte Fontaine and Areski Belkacem left on the Saravah label. Song, spoken word, ethnic percussion and minimal arrangements cross over one another as the pair push French chanson toward the avant-garde with the intimacy of chamber theatre. The two toy bears on the sleeve say it well: innocent and unsettling at once.
Relativity Suite
Don Cherry's 1973 large-ensemble record with the Jazz Composer's Orchestra is the fullest statement of his world-music vision. Indian, Turkish, African and Nordic folk material is pulled into free jazz syntax, and Carla Bley's orchestration lets the album swing between collective improvisation and stately written themes. The hand-drawn sleeve has long been a collector's landmark in its own right.
The 吉原
A striking meeting between hauta and kouta master Eishiba and trumpeter Toshinori Kondo. The traditional poise of shamisen and voice runs into Kondo's electronically treated long tones, pulling the pleasure-quarter memory of Yoshiwara into a floating, weightless acoustic space — one of the finest crossings of Japanese traditional music and avant-garde improvisation.
As If It Were The Seasons
Joseph Jarman's second Delmark album, built from two extended pieces, 'Song To Make The Sun Come Up' and 'Song For Christopher'. Large-ensemble horns, recited voice and sudden evacuations of silence trade places across the record, making it one of the most ritual-minded documents of the early AACM. The pink photo-collage sleeve remains among Delmark's most recognisable designs.
Live At The Blue Note L.A.
A live album on Verve, catching Samara Joy bringing the weight of her voice and a real improviser's nerve into the small room at the Blue Note L.A. Post-Grammy she plays looser on stage, and the exchanges with her band run riskier and more relaxed than anything on her studio records.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (Original Soundtrack)
The double-LP score for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, composed by Evan Call. Orchestra and voice carry the series' central feelings about time, farewell and the long road, including the main theme 'Journey of a Lifetime' and the thunderous 'Zoltraak'. This is the October restock of the coloured-vinyl pressing.
SOUR
Olivia Rodrigo's debut, the record that swept outward from 'drivers license' and turned teenage heartbreak into a language spanning bedroom pop and pop-punk. This is the limited 'ego crush' yellow vinyl edition, pressed in very small numbers.
GUTS
On her second album Rodrigo pushes the guitars forward and doubles down on both anger and self-mockery; 'vampire' and 'bad idea right?' move her from heartbreak narrator to something sharper and more self-interrogating. Issued here as the limited 'the sky is green' translucent green vinyl.
Pocket Park
Miki Matsubara's 1980 debut, home to 'Mayonaka no Door ~ Stay With Me', the song that found a worldwide audience decades later. Tetsuji Hayashi's arrangements push urban atmosphere and AOR polish to their peak, making this one of city pop's undisputed starting points. Restocked for early November 2026 at a new low price.
Beef Season 2 (Original Soundtrack)
A24's soundtrack to Beef season two, scored by Finneas O'Connell. The electronic textures and subtle melodic writing he favours carry the show's dramatic turns, while spare instrumentation and precise production push the emotional weight of each scene to the front.
黑夢
One of the essential solo albums from Chinese rock's golden era. Having left Black Panther, Dou Wei delivered Black Dream in 1994 — gloomy, inward, shot through with psychedelia and post-punk — standing in sharp contrast to the shouted rock of its moment. The figure curled on the railway tracks on its cover became a generational image in itself.
垃圾場
The only studio album by He Yong, one of the 'Magic Stone three'. 'Garbage Dump' and 'Bell and Drum Towers' set piercingly direct lyrics against restless guitars to document the disorder and anger of nineties Beijing, and it still hits as hard as anything in Chinese rock.
黑豹
Black Panther's self-titled 1991 debut, the defining record of their Dou Wei–fronted era. 'No Place to Hide' and 'Don't Break My Heart' fuse hard rock arrangements with melodies built to carry, making it a commercial and cultural landmark that Chinese-language rock has never quite repeated.
Taiwan's underground psychedelic outliers Mong Tong are brothers Hung Yu and Hung Chun-Chi, also members of Prairie WWWW, long known for weaving Chinese cultural material into psychedelia, electronics and world music to form a distinctly 'Eastern psychedelic' sound. Sun Moon Darkness stays uncanny and inventive, layering folk memory, Middle Eastern scales and stacked percussion, with guest turns from Lilium and Huang Da-Wang. The Taiwanese edition follows Lim Giong's Bioerosion on the Open Culture Foundation; Japan's P-VINE issues a limited obi-strip vinyl.
