REONA — REONA
Free Improvisation / Experimental / Percussion 2026

REONA

REONA

A gloriously unhinged piece of experimental work. Tokyo's REONA is a tap dancer, metal percussionist and improviser whose Instagram bio simply reads 'whole-body percussion instrument' — and she means it, stomping, scraping, striking, breathing and groaning her way through a record. Her foot-played 'instruments' are just as strange: a Taiwanese wok, a South Indian thali, a washbasin, chains, netting, toy drums, even a warning sign salvaged from an unexploded-ordnance site in Okinawa. Her debut was produced, recorded and mixed by Randall Dunn, with Boris drummer Atsuo joining for a one-take 'M108'. Cover art by Kazuki Tomokawa; vinyl on New York experimental label Kou Records.

JPEGMAFIA — LP!
Experimental Hip-Hop / Industrial Hip-Hop 2021

JPEGMAFIA

LP!

Long out of stock, JPEGMAFIA's LP! returns on red vinyl 2LP. Peggy shreds and reassembles his samples into beats that keep collapsing on themselves — gritty low end, abrupt cuts, and his most unhinged, most recognizable record.

The Radio Dept. — Pet Grief
Dream Pop / Indie Pop 2006

The Radio Dept.

Pet Grief

Dream sounds out of Sweden. The Radio Dept.'s 2006 second album returns for a 20th anniversary vinyl reissue. Where Lesser Matters was lo-fi and noise pop, Pet Grief drifts into softer, finer dream pop — hazy vocals, weightless melodies, layered textures, the loveliest fog of 2000s indie pop. Twenty years on it's still sweet, lonely and blurred, with the ghost of C86 hanging over its shyness.

Michael Kiwanuka — Fudge
Soul / Psychedelic Soul 2026

Michael Kiwanuka

Fudge

Michael Kiwanuka's loosest, most soulful record yet, full of improvisational magic. The spark came from the late Chick Corea — during lockdown Kiwanuka stumbled on an interview where Corea urged him to embrace what he actually loves and ignore what anyone thinks. The psychedelic cartoon sleeve by friend and longtime collaborator Stevie Gee answers the album's warmth and strangeness perfectly.

Chet Baker — Live in Japan 1987 Fukui Vol.1 + Vol.2
Jazz / Cool Jazz / Live 2026

Chet Baker

Live in Japan 1987 Fukui Vol.1 + Vol.2

After his first Japanese dates in 1986, Chet Baker promised he'd be back soon. On June 6, 1987 he kept his word, and the night at Fukui's Phoenix Plaza became legend — released here as both sets, Vol.1 and Vol.2. Vol.1 has longtime pianist Harold Danko, Dutch bassist Hein Van De Geyn and drummer John Engels behind him, light on its feet and utterly unhurried, with an irreplaceable live 'My Funny Valentine'. Vol.2 keeps the swing burning through readings like 'You are My Thrill'. Japanese RSD clear-blue vinyl, long sold out officially.

Chrome Chasm — Interpreter
Ambient / Experimental / Psychedelic 2026

Chrome Chasm

Interpreter

This is probably what a dreamed Texas sounds like: an endless deep-blue horizon, wet swampland, records carrying across the block from a house party on a hot summer night — and a lonely, wide-open poetry running under all of it. Houston trio Chrome Chasm pairs Mlee Marie (Hearts Of Animals) and Will Adams (Lower Dens/Ka-Nives) with Texas psych-experimental mainstay Tom Carter (Charalambides). Opener 'The Star' is gorgeous: distorted guitar rolling in like tide, pedal steel circling, saxophone intoning over and over until the three fold together and time seems to stop inside an ambient mirage.

Cheer Chen (陳綺貞) — 吉他手
Mandopop / Indie Pop / Folk 2002

Cheer Chen (陳綺貞)

吉他手

Cheer Chen's 2002 album Guitarist gets a blue vinyl pressing — the first shipment sold out and a second run is now on pre-order. From 'My Dear Paranoid' through 'Too Clever' and 'Minuet' to the title track, it's the sharpest her acoustic-guitar vocabulary has ever been, and each side closes with a different version of 'Lying in Your Closet' — guitar, then piano — the same sentence said twice in two voices.

Hiroshi Yoshimura (吉村弘) — Soundscape 1: Surround
Ambient / Environmental Music 1986

Hiroshi Yoshimura (吉村弘)

Soundscape 1: Surround

The first officially licensed reissue of Japanese environmental music pioneer Hiroshi Yoshimura's January 1986 album. Surround was commissioned by homebuilder Misawa Homes to improve the feel of their new living spaces, recorded alongside the beloved GREEN — producer Hiroyoshi Shiokawa's liner notes call the two Yoshimura's yin and yang. This edition carries notes by Shiokawa and Yoshimura, remastered by Grammy-nominated engineer John Baldwin, on blue vinyl.

Hiroshi Yoshimura (吉村弘) — Flora
Ambient / Environmental Music 1987

Hiroshi Yoshimura (吉村弘)

Flora

Recorded in 1987 and long underrated, Flora gets its first official reissue since the 2006 CD and its first ever vinyl pressing. It picks up where 1986's GREEN and Surround left off, continuing Yoshimura's study of how environment and sound dissolve into each other — true to the title, it plays like a walk through a park, moving among flowers and trees, alert to the color and texture of the natural world while content to sit in the background of an ordinary day. Liner notes by Waseda professor Junichi Konuma, vinyl mastering by John Baldwin, pressed as a 45rpm 2LP at Germany's Optimal Media.
