Nothing Space Music
The long-awaited Japanese pressing of maya ongaku's second album. More inward-looking than their debut, with saxophone, guitar and electronics drifting through thin air — ambient music taken apart and reassembled as a band.
SHIMONAKA
The first solo album from DYGL guitarist Yosuke Shimonaka, its sleeve a direct nod to Masayoshi Takanaka. It picks up the lineage of 70s and 80s Japanese fusion and crossover, rebuilding that era's imagined future with a tropical instrumental sensibility.
I.C.P.
Recorded at Danish Radio in 1969, Tchicai's quintet pulls in Han Bennink, Misha Mengelberg, Pierre Dørge and Hugh Steinmetz — a meeting point between the Nordic scene and the Dutch ICP camp. Reissued by Italian label Formalibera.
Wigmore Hall 1968
Tchicai and his large ensemble Cadentia Nova Danica live at London's Wigmore Hall in 1968 — an audio document from free jazz's most restless years, another entry in Formalibera's reissue programme.
Opening
A new record from Swedish experimental electronic artist Klara Lewis. A specialist in field recording and sampling, she opens with abrupt, strangely warped sounds; fragmented environmental recordings get sliced into gloomy rhythms — unsettling, yet oddly magnetic.
Piss In The Wind
Joji's fourth album, his first since leaving 88rising, back in stock as the out-of-print prism colored vinyl with poster. Haunting melodies pull against gritty, atmospheric production, turning his familiar inner turmoil into something strangely beautiful.
And Yet Still
A creme-colored vinyl edition limited to 150 copies. Six tightly written tracks, all created and produced by Oddisee himself, with the full instrumental set on the B-side that lays bare his warm drums and jazz-leaning samples.
Naruto: Best Collection
A compilation of Naruto's signature themes — ten tracks including ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION's "Haruka Kanata", FLOW's "GO!!!", Akeboshi's "wind" and ORANGE RANGE. The white vinyl edition is limited to 1000 copies and restocks in October, with the black pressing back at a new low price.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (Original Series Soundtrack)
The soundtrack to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series, built by Cyberpunk 2077 composers Marcin Przybylowicz and P.T. Adamczyk alongside Silent Hill's Akira Yamaoka — Night City's neon and velocity written straight into the electronics. Restocking for preorder in early October.
Jobim, the defining figure of 1960s bossa nova and author of "Desafinado" and "The Girl from Ipanema", set the blueprint with his elegant playing. Stone Flower pairs a gorgeous band with a warm sound that still feels fresh; MOV reissues it this year on clear black-marble vinyl, limited to 2000 numbered copies.
