Shing02's drummer Dae Han released Blue in 2020; original pressings have been near-impossible to find and the official Bandcamp sold out long ago, with this repress delayed for months. Takuya Kuroda called him in for Hawaii dates, and he's opened for Khruangbin — Dae Han stays quietly in the back, his drumming slotting perfectly into whatever the music asks for. The record took a long time to shape, fusing hip hop, jazz and house into a sound of its own with remarkably infectious groove.

The 1991 debut from Japanese project poison girl friend (NOÄ), arriving early ahead of tomorrow's official release. Whispered, dreamlike vocals drift over languid electronic beats and ambient textures — one of the most elusive records from the early Shibuya-kei moment, still being rediscovered decades on.
