Landlocked
The darkest, deepest piece of Berlin's legendary Chain Reaction puzzle — trio Hallucinator's debut, on vinyl for the first time. They strip dub techno down to its skeleton, sound receding and spreading through cavernous reverb like a slowly fading image. Dedicated to Stephen Lawrence, a teenager killed in a 1993 racist attack in London, its mourning buried deep in the low-end gaps.
His Majesty King Funk
The one time Grant Green strayed from Blue Note in a two-decade career — his 1965 Verve date His Majesty King Funk. Reissued in the audiophile Verve Acoustic Sounds Series, cut from the original analog tapes and QRP-pressed on 180g. Green's crisp, warm guitar, Larry Young's rich organ and Harold Vick's blues-and-gospel-tinged sax land right in the sweet spot of hard bop, R&B and soul jazz.
たからじま
Siamese Cats' 2012 album Takarajima gets its first official vinyl pressing, home to fan favorites "Nandaka Yaresou" and "Nagisa." A key Tokyo indie-rock band of the 2010s (debuted 2009, disbanded 2020), reissued here on clear vinyl — youthful, glittering band sound whose feelings and memories somehow never faded.
AFTER HOURS
Siamese Cats' definitive 2014 album AFTER HOURS — tracks like "MODELS" and the title cut, all youthful, gleaming band sound — reaching official clear-vinyl for the first time. A band whose influence on Japan's indie scene still resonates years on.
TAKE CARE
Siamese Cats' 2015 EP TAKE CARE, holding the unforgettable "Girl at the Bus Stop," returns on 45RPM clear vinyl. Even with the band long gone, replaying these songs reveals feelings that never really left.
Cover Songs
A covers anthology marking Mayumi Kojima's 20th anniversary, curated from years of her interpretations — Seiko Matsuda's "Sweet Memories," Fubuki Koshiji's "Rokudenashi," Spitz's "Natsu no Mamono," and a reggae reworking of Saori Yuki's "Yoake no Scat." Every one is remade in her unmistakable style, plus newly recorded and previously unreleased covers.
Project Hail Mary (The Complete Amazon MGM Studios Soundtrack)
A strictly limited box set of Daniel Pemberton's score for the film Project Hail Mary. The 4LP set holds three 140g gold vinyl discs plus an exclusive zoetrope picture disc designed by Drew Tetz, a 12-page booklet penned by Pemberton, a slipmat and a 3-inch pin. Limited pressing, arriving in October.
SEASON'S GREETINGS
Arguably Japan's finest Christmas album — only Tatsuro Yamashita could craft a winter masterpiece this timeless. Reissued as a strictly limited heavyweight LP with his own detailed liner notes, its 15 tracks run from "Silent Night" and "White Christmas" to the English version of "Christmas Eve."
California Dreaming
A final Verve masterpiece from jazz-guitar legend Wes Montgomery — 1967's California Dreaming, reissued in the audiophile Verve Acoustic Sounds Series, cut from original analog tape on QRP 180g. Produced by Creed Taylor, arranged by Don Sebesky, with Herbie Hancock guesting on piano; Montgomery's signature thumb-octaves reinterpret "California Dreaming" and "Sunny" amid lush strings.
One
A limited repress of Faith Yang's debut album One — cut and pressed in Germany on 140g from the original masters. This late-'90s record established her cool, independent rock voice and remains a landmark of Taiwanese alternative pop.
Silence
Faith Yang's 1999 album Silence returns on vinyl — cut in Germany on 140g from the original masters, limited edition. Its icy rock and fine-grained emotion helped cement her standing as an alternative diva.
應該
Faith Yang's 2001 album Should Be (應該) reissued on vinyl — original masters, German 140g pressing, limited edition. It carries her signature detached voice and rock textures, a defining Taiwanese alt-pop record of the early 2000s.
ii
After Unlocked and Unlocked 1.5, Denzel Curry reunites with producer Kenny Beats for a new album, ii, enlisting JPEGMAFIA, Yebba and Westside Gunn among many guests. Out December 4 on an indie-exclusive sea-blue variant and an ultra-clear pressing.
Save As
Save As is the second solo album from Daughter's Elena Tonra under her Ex:Re alias. She reunites with producer Fabian Prynn and brings in Josephine Stephenson (cello), Hinako Omori (synths), Ben Reed (bass) and Jethro Fox (electric guitar). The limited clear pressing includes a lyric booklet; out October 30.
Seasons Toward
Toru Takemitsu's percussion work Seasons / Toward collects "Seasons" and "Toward," written for the Space Theatre of the Steel Pavilion at Expo '70 in Osaka — a hall of 1,008 speakers embedded throughout the space, itself a giant performing instrument. "Seasons" is notated not in conventional score but through graphic, abstract symbols, the performance shifting with each player's reading — a quasi-improvised contemporary classic.
Released in 1970 on Pierre Barouh's legendary Saravah label, pairing Brigitte Fontaine's poetic lyrics and Areski Belkacem's minimal compositions with the fearless improvisation of the Art Ensemble of Chicago and Wadada Leo Smith — one of the most forward-looking classics in French music. Wewantsounds' deluxe remaster spans two LPs, the second adding 11 rare tracks including a long-lost English version and unreleased instrumentals.
