Still Water
A new 7-inch from Takuro Okada that finds yet another frontier. The A-side 'Still Water' features maya ongaku's Sae Ikeda on flute, its unhurried breath weaving through water-like guitar into spacious, meditative sound; the B-side 'Dohman Sehman' continues the thread of Konoma with Ethio-jazz melody over library-music funk. Originally sold only through Narumi Kojima's TOKA label, it now arrives officially for Japan's Record Day.
Pieces of a Dream
Habibi Funk's latest excavation: Nechazz, a group of Jordanian musicians of Palestinian heritage led by Basim Said and Khaldoon Nasser. Its nocturnal city-pop melodies are hard to believe came from 1980s Jordan — a beguiling meeting of the Middle East and urban pop.
House Mix I
A classic collaboration between min'yo singer Akiko Kanazawa and Soichi Terada, folding Japanese traditional folk song into house rhythms — billed as 'the world's first folk dance music.' Traditional vocals meet Terada's Far East Recording grooves to delightful effect.

The second volume of the Akiko Kanazawa × Soichi Terada min'yo-house series, continuing the fusion of traditional folk song and electronic dance music. Terada's arrangements give Showa-era folk a brand-new pulse — a Japanese house gem for collectors and dancefloors alike.

Relaxin' With The Miles Davis Quintet
One of the greatest quintets in jazz history and a canonical classic. Miles Davis leads his 'First Great Quintet' — John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones — recorded by Rudy Van Gelder, one of four classics from the same sessions and a document of Coltrane on the verge of mastery. This centennial reissue is all-analog (AAA), cut from the original tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180g.
Schwingungen (50th Anniversary Edition)
A Krautrock landmark back in stock. Ash Ra Tempel's 1972 second album Schwingungen is an immortal work of German Krautrock, regarded as an early classic of ambient and space rock. Original pressings have fetched huge sums secondhand; this is a 50th-anniversary reissue supervised by member Manuel Göttsching, pressed on 180g vinyl.
Spaces of Silence (Recut Re-Edition)
A 2022 French Touch / deep-house gem, sold out on its first pressing and now recut for 2026 with optimized low-end dynamics and detail. Paris-based Belgian producer Tour-Maubourg plays retro soul against modern electronics with great elegance, drifting between downtempo, organic jazz, instrumental hip-hop and deep house — with a sly nod to St Germain on 'You'.
22 Durnham Dew
Keyboard magician Benny Sings returns with his ninth album, 22 Durnham Dew, turning from the stage to home and the everyday — singing about fatherhood and a new chapter of life. Having bought a house and settled into family life, he made this one with his wife and daughter taking part. Released on Stones Throw, it's the familiar breezy melodicism with an added warmth of home and love.
Division
Japanese beatmaker Sweet William, who performed in Taiwan in 2024, returns with the instrumental album Division. Refined over roughly two years since SONORAS, it is entirely vocal-free, unfolding a new sound design through nearly beatless arrangements — cinematic drift and negative space within easy grooves. Mastered by Joe Joaquin, with cover art by photographer Chieko Shiraishi and a recreated 1960s flipback sleeve.
Beat Konducta Box Set
'Many have tried to imitate, none have truly copied.' Madlib's classic instrumental Beat Konducta series is gathered for the first time into a deluxe 7LP box set, spanning beats from 1994 to 2008 and distilling a key period of his production. Inspiration runs from 1970s film/TV library music to Bollywood and Indian music, with the later Vol. 5-6 a tribute to his late friend J Dilla. It exclusively includes Vol. 0: Earth Sounds on green vinyl, via Stones Throw.

Ahmad Jamal '73 is his watershed from acoustic trio into soul-funk and electrified exploration — a fount of hip-hop samples — with covers of Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' and War's 'The World is a Ghetto.'
