One of the deepest pages of Brazil's tropicália golden age. Jards Macalé's 1972 self-titled album on Philips was born under the most repressive years of military dictatorship — an incendiary, artistically rebellious landmark. It fuses samba and bossa nova roots with the heat of rock, classical harmony and jazz improvisation; never overtly political, yet carrying a quiet, melancholy resilience. Remastered and reissued in 2024 by Week-End Records, limited to 1000 copies.

Head Of Pomegranate

London band Flamingods — self-styled "exotic psychedelic adventurers" — deliver this 2023 album produced by Grammy-winner Ben H. Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, M.I.A.). Psych rock, punk and electronics collide, drawing on the members' varied cultural roots and a love of '70s British rock, switching styles freely and fearlessly. Issued here as a limited 500-copy colour vinyl with a bonus 7" and signed poster.
