Everything's Alright Forever
The Liverpool band's first record for Creation, its title lifted from a 1958 Jack Kerouac novel. Long out of print since 1992, it returns on vinyl this year. Fusing psychedelic guitar walls with sunny pop melodies and welcome brass, it's an underrated shoegaze outlier that lets light through the gloom.
Piano Works 2016-2026
A recovered rarity — the 2025 Eaton Fire cost Kirby his home and hard drives, and some tracks were salvaged from old emails and unnamed folders. These 14 piano miniatures, recorded in LA, Rome, Tokyo and London, play like a travel diary drifting between Baroque, Impressionism, minimalism and atonality. Out on Stones Throw.
Dja Dja
Catalan composer Marina Herlop spent three years on this first self-released album, her most architecturally ambitious work yet — each track a self-contained piece that echoes the others, mapped on huge cardboard charts of harmony, scoring and meter, with gamelan parts recorded in Bali. It plays like one long, finally released breath.
Sanctuary
Evanescence, who reshaped rock with 2003's Fallen, return with a new album fusing rock, metal and symphonic elements. 'Afterlife,' written for Devil May Cry, is their biggest single since the debut, with 'End of You' and 'Who Will You Follow' also drawing praise — now on double vinyl for the first time.
