Racing Mount Pleasant
If you love Neutral Milk Hotel, Tindersticks or Black Country, New Road, this is a huge surprise. Racing Mount Pleasant's 57-minute self-titled debut plays like the most tear-jerking end-credits score of an indie film, gathering the grandeur of post-rock, indie rock and cinematic scoring. 2026 double-LP reissue.
Tiga Trombone
Habibi Funk — known for unearthing rare Middle Eastern and North African music — launches sister label Audible Beauty Records, lifting the veil on 1970s Malaysian jazz. Only dozens of copies of this legendary recording were originally pressed for radio broadcast; reissued with the musician's authorization in a gatefold sleeve with a 12-page booklet of documents and unpublished archival photos. Warsaw
Before they became the world-shaking post-punk legends Joy Division, they were called Warsaw. This self-titled album captures them at their rawest, collecting 1978 recordings plus five very early 1977 demos. Newly pressed in 2026 on crystal-clear and solid-blue mixed vinyl, UK-limited to 500 copies.
forgotten
"Fuyu ni Wakarete" — the trio of Sao Terao, Wataru Iga and Reisaburo Adachi — delivers the moving new album "forgotten." Terao's cool, melancholic voice floats over hazy electric piano while the bass pulses quietly like a heartbeat; with guests Wakana Ikeda (flute) and Tokutaro Hosoi (guitar), it sketches landscapes of memory, parting and drift.
Prism
The third of the tenth "Spin This Now!" reissue wave from the EAST WIND catalog. Guitarist Ryo Kawasaki — admired by Gil Evans and active internationally — already displays vivid Fusion and Jazz Funk on his 1976 debut as leader. Opener "Agana" bursts in on high-speed percussion as warm guitar lines race through; "Phil" turns cool and cosmic.
Daahoud
The second of the tenth "Spin This Now!" wave, continuing the EAST WIND catalog. Beloved jazz pianist Tsuyoshi Yamamoto leads a trio with Tsutomu Okada (bass) and Hiroshi Murakami (drums) on this 1976 set, featuring a bluesy "Alone Together," a brisk "Alice in Wonderland" and Clifford Brown's "Daahoud" — playing both solid and tender.
Inbred EP
Dark indie rising star Ethel Cain's deeply personal EP "Inbred" had never been issued physically until this year's Record Store Day (RSD 2026) brought its first-ever vinyl pressing. Living in an Indiana church basement at the time, she single-handedly wrote, produced and mixed the entire work, fusing darkness, religious atmosphere and alt-pop. 10" white vinyl.
Perfect Sound Forever EP
After 35 years, reissued for the very first time. Pavement's 1991 cult EP "Perfect Sound Forever" returns as an RSD 2026 limited edition on 10" white vinyl, collecting seven essential early tracks that capture the band's rawest, most ragged Lo-Fi charm.
A Matter of Time: Live at Madison Square Garden
Laufey's RSD release this year captures her sold-out debut at New York's Madison Square Garden on the "A Matter of Time" North American tour. Limited "Big Apple Red" double colored vinyl with a booklet of previously unseen tour staging sketches and behind-the-scenes inspiration.
Salaam Salaam
Part of the tenth "Spin This Now!" wave from the East Wind catalog. Recorded 1974 at Tokyo's Victor Studio, pianist Takehiro Honda leads a trio with Juni Booth (bass) and Eric Gravatt (drums). Deeply bluesy, he erupts on "Miner's Only," while the title track "Salaam Salaam" — Swahili for "peace" — shows off his fluent touch.
Before I Die
Special-priced pink marble vinyl of Park Hye Jin's album "Before I Die," released via a heavily discounted UK supplier holding only 78 copies, with record shops worldwide scrambling for the stock.
Bishoujo Uchuu (微少女宇宙)
The much-sought-after "Bishoujo Uchuu" by Kayoko Matsunaga marks its 40th anniversary. Her debut album, recorded at 17 for Kitty Records, pairs a clear, translucent voice with polished 1980s production and includes a theme from "Urusei Yatsura 4," becoming a city-pop and anime gem with a stellar writing roster (Koji Tamaki, Tetsuya Komuro, Toshinobu Kubota and more).
Kareinaru Nesshou (華麗なる熱唱)
Teresa Teng's "Kareinaru Nesshou" issued in Japan as a 45rpm 3LP on clear virgin 180g heavyweight vinyl, limited to 1,000 individually numbered sets worldwide with lyrics, translations and liner notes.
