A mysterious fusion of Indian music, jazz funk and spiritual jazz — the only album from drummer-percussionist Bill Buchen's Electric Village, originally released in 1978 and now reissued by Eating Standing Recordings. Buchen lived in India for two years, speaks Hindi, and played around 200 Indian weddings — experiences that surface in the album's tribal percussion, tabla and spiritual flute lines. The reissue comes on heavyweight vinyl with the original artwork pasted onto 700g card and a glossy laminate finish, plus a Tony Higgins interview and exclusive photos.

TOWA TEI — ZAMBIENT
Ambient / Electronic 2026

TOWA TEI

ZAMBIENT

At 61, TOWA TEI's output is unrelenting — barely a year after AH!! comes his 14th solo album ZAMBIENT, named for the idea of a 'mongrel ambient' that blends sounds, smells and rhythms into a floating drift. Bose of Scha Dara Parr guests as a rapper on 'NOTHING ELSE 2'; Chappo (Fukuhara Oto) contributes harmonies elsewhere. The vinyl gets a 200-copy run via TOWA TEI's MACH STORE before this small Taiwan import drop.

Le Makeup — The Crying Xpress
Alternative / Ambient Pop 2026

Le Makeup

The Crying Xpress

Japanese new-wave artist Le Makeup builds a world between alternative and ambient pop with sparse synths and emotionally heavy vocals. The Crying Xpress is an album about fragility — a kind of online murmuring that hopes someone, somewhere, will hear. Guests include Telematic Visions, Satoko Shibata and Dove; Shibata sings lead on 〈Kizu〉, a meditation on trauma and reality, while 〈Kono Yoru ga Owaru Made〉captures nights you cannot face alone. 13 tracks, vinyl from AWDR/LR2.

Angine De Poitrine — Vol. 1
Psychedelic Rock / Progressive Rock 2024

Angine De Poitrine

Vol. 1

The first volume from Quebec duo Angine De Poitrine — endlessly looping melodies that hit like Lightning Bolt-style linear math laced with African rhythms, performed by two figures whose identities remain unknown. Since their KEXP appearance the demand has been relentless. The Vol. 1 cover shows the cream-coloured masked figures.

Angine De Poitrine — Vol. 2
Psychedelic Rock / Progressive Rock 2025

Angine De Poitrine

Vol. 2

The duo's second volume, keeping the black sleeve with two masked musicians at bass and drums in front of a golden pyramid. The same insistent loops and African-tinged rhythms; since the KEXP set the project has been unstoppable, and the shop is bringing in Vol 1 and Vol 2 together.
